As we told you earlier this week, FarmVille's newest animal breeding pen is called the Pet Run Habitat Farmville Animals, and it will allow you to store and breed all sorts of "smaller" animals that may be taking up too much space on your farm (not that the habitat itself is particularly small, but I digress). You'll be able to store animals like Chinchillas, Cats, Rabbits and Dogs, among others.

As usual, once this building rolls around to you (it's on a slow roll-out as of this writing), you'll first need to place its base and then collect items to complete its construction. For this particular pet habitat, you'll need to collect ten each of Painted Wood pieces, Water Pumps and Fence Posts (the Fence Posts have been carried over from the Wildlife Habitat). You'll be given a single ingredient for free to start you out, but can earn the rest by asking your friends to send them to you, or by purchasing them for a single Farm Cash each. I haven't received any of these items by opening Special Delivery Boxes, so you may want to rule that option out for the time being.

Once constructed, your Farmville Animals Pet Run will be able to support the storage of up to 20 animals like those mentioned above. It should be noted that actual Puppies (that is, those that are fed both food and treats collected from friends) aren't allowed to be stored. You'll receive a free Himalayan Cat for completing each Pet Run on your land, and you can have as many as you'd like, so long as you build each separately.

Like the Wildlife Habitat before it, you'll be able to look inside the Pet Run once it's completed to see a complete list of each and every animal that is allowed to be stored inside, and once you actually place a corresponding animal into your Pet Run, its appearance inside will reflect that. Also, the list inside the Pet Run contains animals that may not be available, but we've been told some may make a comeback in the future.

In terms of breeding, you'll find one of two colors of Bassinets at random when you collect from the ready Habitat (you'll receive Feed otherwise). When collecting from your own Pet Run, your baby is guaranteed to turn into one of the animals you currently own inside the Pet Run, while the situation changes when claiming an animal from friends: A pink Bassinet signals a rare animal that would otherwise be available in the store for around 15 Farm Cash, while an orange Bassinet signals a common animal that would include past lonely animals, quest rewards and the like.

Farmville Animals All in all, this feature is basically identical to the Wildlife Habitat, save for the kinds of animals that can be stored. Building the structure is an incredibly familiar process by this point, so just keep chugging along, asking your friends for building ingredients, and you'll have your Pet Run ready for storage in no time!

As with a real farm most things cost money. Buying seeds, plowing the fields, almost everything costs coins. At first you will only be able to pay for the costs by harvesting and selling your crops. However these day to day costs are not the only costs, and if you want to advance through the levels you will have to gain experience points, and to gain experience points you will have to purchase large ticket items like buildings.

Now you need to figure out a way to make more money on farmville.

The first thing you will have to learn is to make the most of your land by choosing the crops that make the most money PER HOUR. Some crops make good money but they take too long to mature. This is fine if you don’t want to advance quickly or you like to take things slow, but most of us want to move a bit faster.

One good comparison is strawberries vs pumpkins. Pumpkins pay 68 coins per plot every 8 hours. Strawberries pay 35 every 4 hours, so in 8 hours strawberries will get you 7 more coins. This of course assumes you will be harvesting the strawberries as soon as they are ripe and replant right away.

If of course you cannot get back to your farm in 4 hours, you are better off planting the pumpkins. It is better to be safe than lose your crop. But you can see that if you time your visits to farmville perfectly you can be in and out in a few minutes and be making about 10% more than other people do who are on farmville much longer than you.

Tips Making money faster on farmville is as simple as picking the right crops. Picking crops that mature fast and have a high return per hour will mean that you are optimizing your farm. All it takes is for you to set a little reminder of when to go back to harvest and replant your crops.

The premise is to gain loads of experience points to help you level up. To do that you sew soybean crops on all areas and then delete the crops (using the red spade), this costs money but gives you experience points. You will need to have quite a bit of coinage for this to be useful, and basically you will use up all your coins.

5. Farmville Gifting cheat – this one is hit or miss for people, mainly because the instructions are hard to follow. It is not really a cheat, as you can only send 1 gift to someone every 4 hours, it shortcuts the wait, and you can send more than 1 at a time, but they will not be able to accept more than 1 gift every 4 hours. Here are the steps.
* From inside facebook, open the farmville app. wait till it opens then click on the free gifts tab
* (it seems to work best if you use chrome browser) right click on the free gifts tab link and choose open in new tab, do this up to 30 times so that you have up to 30 tabs open
* for each tab select a gift, then on each tab select “proceed to send”
* go to each tab and select the friend you want to send the gift to (do not send yet)
* after selecting friend on each tab go back to first tab and click “send farmville gift request” (do not hit send yet) and repeat for all tabs
* go back to first tab and click send, then repeat for all tabs
* thats it. Note your friends may not be able to open the gifts until the next day.

6. Multiple chicken coops – this one will probably be fixed by Zynga soon so hurry. It will give you extra chicken coops. You have to place a chicken coop in the very top corner of your plot. then buy a storage shed, and expand the storage shed and publish to facebook, your neighbour have to help you expand it, then do it again. Once you have fully expanded your storage shed you need to refresh farmville, you will now get 2 extra chicken coops. I chose not to do this cheat as I thought it may get me banned.

7. Good Samaritan Ribbon cheat – This one will help you get the good samaritan ribbon faster. To get the good samaritan ribbon you have to help neighbors, but it is slow and tedious. Click on the neighbor to help them, but before the confirmation window pops up click their icon again, click them as fast as you can, and you may be able to help them up to 5 times all at once.

8. Pretty Garden Ribbon cheat – You have to get 50 flowers to get the blue pretty garden ribbon. The fastest way to do this is to purchase a garden shed for 30,000 which comes with 10 flowers, place them on the farm and then sell the shed. Repeat the process until you have 50 flowers. You will also get experience points.

9. Free Cows cheat – you need to have at least 1 cow already in your gift box. Buy a dairy farm, then place the cow from the gift box directly into the dairy farm (not anywhere else), then return to the giftbox and there will still be a cow there, rinse and repeat.

10. Probably the safest way to advance is to use a bot. I don’t think Zynga considers using a bot cheating, as it is running on your computer in place of you.
